Wide varieties of hair care products available in the market. While these artificial hair care products claim to take care of hair, they are not devoid of chemicals which have harmful side effects. So, it’s better to use natural hair care products due to their chemical free nature.

Coconut oil is a triglyceride having a high affinity for hair proteins. Because of its low molecular weight and straight linear chain, it is able to penetrate the hair shaft.. This hair care oil lubricates and gives a smooth feel to the dry hair shaft. It also heals the structure of damaged hair and protects it from harmful UVA radiation.

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is a medicinal herb used for treating various hair ailments. It is also used as a natural hair conditioner, especially for dark hair. It is also used as a treatment for dandruff. Rosemary oil stimulates the growth of hair. The main constituents of this hair care oil is caffeic acid and its derivative rosmarinic acid have antioxidant effects which help in providing shine to the hair.

Lavender oil not only helps in treating lice and fleas in the hair, but also gives a pleasant aroma to your hair, It is also used to treat itchiness and psoriasis in the scalp.,

Experiments have shown that lavender oil may be effective against Alopecia Areata and helps prevent hair loss.

To prevent hair loss caused by alopecia areata, blend lavender with other essential oils like thyme, rosemary, and cedar wood and rub it in the affected part of the scalp. People for ages have depended on various oils to keep their hair soft and supple.

  • Blend a few drops of lavender oil with rosemary, sesame and olive oil to give volume and shine to the hair.

  • A blend of Rosemary and olive oil when massaged in the scalp improves the blood circulation and stimulates hair growth.

  • To prevent hair loss, blend 5 drops of thyme oil and 3 drops of rosemary oil in 3/4 cup of shampoo.

  • Apply coconut oil with lime juice daily for luster & softness. Extracts of green coriander leaves are equally beneficial.

  • Apply the extracts of hibiscus flower on the scalp and wash it after some time. Helps in preventing dandruff.

  • Wash your hair with a warm solution of diluted vinegar. It will give bounce and shine to your hair.

  • To add shine to your hair, apply a mixture of egg whites and yoghurt.

  • Never wash your hair with extreme warm or cold water.

  • Comb your hair regularly at the night before going to sleep.
